She sold 164,000 copies of the album during Christmas week. She not only set the single week record, Susan Boyle became the first artist to sell more than 100,000 copies of an album in two consecutive weeks. 70,000 copies are required for platinum status in Australia. I Dreamed a Dream has been certified eight times platinum since its release.
